Emily Lavin Leverett is a writer, editor, medievalist, and English professor. She is the co-author of the contemporary fantasy faerie tale series The Eisteddfod Chronicles from Falstaff Books. Book three, Traitor’s Spring, debuts in Summer 2019, following Changeling’s Fall and Winter’s Heir. The short story “Only the Young Die Good” is a part of Prospective Press’s Tales from the Old Black Ambulance, in 2019. Other work has appeared in Athena’s Daughters II, Cinched, and Flash Fiction Online. She is currently working on a medieval fantasy about based on the life and romances of Marie de France, and an urban fantasy about a geriatric family law attorney set in Raleigh, NC. Recent edited anthologies include Lawless Lands: Tales from the Weird Frontier and Tales from the Weird Wild West, co-edited with Misty Massey and Margaret McGraw. She has also been a contributing editor on two benefit anthologies: Chasing the Light and This is Not Us. Finally, her recent scholarship focuses on medieval English romance and Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels, including a co-edited volume Faith and Ethics in the Works of Terry Pratchett, with Kristin Noone, coming from McFarland Press in 2019.
